The value we provide our community

In summer of 2026, our intern Audrey Brown used the Land Trust Alliance’s Ecosystems Valuation Tool to calculate the monetary value that our largest easements contribute annually to the Louisville area. The Ecosystems Valuation Tool utilizes detailed and evidence-based methodology to determine how much value conserved land provides to the community in the form of things like ood resilience, urban heat island mitigation, aesthetic value, and many other factors. You’ll be astonished at the results Audrey arrived at! Here are two infographics and a pdf explaining what she found out.
