Shelby Trails Park

In July 2010, the private owners of Round the Bend Farm donated the property to the Shelby County Parks Department. On October 17, 2010, the land was dedicated as Shelby Trails Park. The park will open in 2011 as a public park, which will include hiking and equestrian trails. River Fields played a leadership role in planning for this transition of a private farm to a public park, and continues to be actively involved.

Features of the easement: The easement protects signficant wildlife habitat, soil and water resources, and open space, while also providing for agricultural and recreational uses.
